The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider stage established for sassa status intervention encounters a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
